Married? Check. Happy? Completely. Ideal weight? So begins the journey...

We remember our pre-wedding selves like a distant memory. Constant workouts, the ability to avoid The Flying Cupcake, and a gown that zipped. Now that we've tied the knot, the pressure's off. But we're still eating like we're on our honeymoon. Let's take the journey back to health together...and enjoy some indulgences along the way.

  1. Today's weight: 169 (crap!)
Days/time spent working out this week: Zero :(
    Wedding weight: 145
    Goal weight: 130
Plus/minus from starting weight: +2 (oops)

Okay, I was a really bad girl this week. I did decently on Thanksgiving Day despite 2 full family meals, but it's the days that followed, with Thanksgiving leftovers, the remains of my mother's 5 (five!!) desserts, and not working out that brought me down. To my defense, I did have a super-low energy level this week, but that's just an excuse. It would have been better if I had just maintained! I hope to report better news next week...

  2. Uh oh! As I mentioned to Emily yesterday, thanksgiving was a complete blow to my weight loss. I went a little nutso. Technically, I gained 5 lbs over the T-giving gorge-a-thon, but I'm still down 2 aggregate from the 7 I had lost. Whew!

    Here are the stats:

    Today's weight: 217
Days/time spent working out this week: 3 30-minute dog walks (I gotta do more than this)
    Wedding weight: 192
    Goal weight: 175
Plus/minus from starting weight: -2 (yay)
    Plus/minus from last week's weight: +5 (oops)
Pounds to lose to wedding weight: 25
Pounds to lose to goal weight: 42

I AM SO GLAD WE'RE DOING THIS! Thank goodness we started when we did, or, come January, I probably would have been above my highest weight ever (243--yikes!). Now I know to get my
a-double-s back on track so that doesn't happen.

    Wedding weight: 170
    Goal weight: 160
    Plus/minus from starting weight: -2.5
Plus/minus from last week's weight: +1 dang it
Pounds to lose to wedding weight: 27
Pounds to lose to goal weight: 37

I really thought I'd maintain this week if nothing else... I was feeling good, I really was! And then about Wed. nite or so, I stumbled upon an oreo mcflurry. (small, but still!)

Come on, Megan. Get your head in the game.
