Married? Check. Happy? Completely. Ideal weight? So begins the journey...
We remember our pre-wedding selves like a distant memory. Constant workouts, the ability to avoid The Flying Cupcake, and a gown that zipped. Now that we've tied the knot, the pressure's off. But we're still eating like we're on our honeymoon. Let's take the journey back to health together...and enjoy some indulgences along the way.

I made a few poor choices before I got the virus, so I'm happy with losing 2lbs! And hey, that's way better than gaining 14 like I did last year! Thanks for doing this ladies!
P.S. I meant 217, not 218 for today's weight.

I lost a little this week! I also weighed myself after breakfast instead of before, so I feel like the number could technically be lower. I didn't work out this week because I had a nasty head cold over Christmas weekend, and also I haven't had much of an appetite. Happy New Year's ladies! Colleen, sorry to hear you were so sick! At least you found one benefit of sickness is that it really gets those numbers down in an encouraging way!
I forgot to weigh in last week. I'm not sure if that made this week worse or not. Break was not my most shining moment. I was out of control and didn't work out at all. I'm so disappointed in myself. I am motivated now more than ever before to get this weight back off. I'm uncomfortable in my clothes and I have a half marathon to start training for. I was dreading seeing my number cross back into the 200's and even though I knew I was getting dangerously close to that, I kept eating away over break anyways. I knew it was close, but seeing it on the scale this past weekend kicked me into gear. Maybe that's what I needed was to see that. I really wanted to lie and put a different # on the report today, but I know that's not right. Maybe it's crazy, but I'm going to work this week to get out of the 200's. I've lost 6 in a week before and I plan to work towards that again this week. Here's to it! Today's weight: 205

Hey, the 14-pound gain last Christmas motivated me too (and you think +6 is embarassing--the +14 was before my wedding, and I had to admit it to, like 6 people, guys included!). I'm convinced it happened to me for a reason, though. It showed me that if I eat whatever I want and don't exercise, I WILL gain weight (as displayed in the months since my wedding). So maybe the +6 happened to you for a reason, too. Good for you, Megan, for not letting it defeat you but instead being fuel for your fire! I did Zumba for the first time in a LONG time last night, and it felt good to sweat! Brian went to the gym, too, so it seems like we've got some good momentum going! Let's go girls!!
ReplyDeleteMegan, I meant to respond to this earlier in the week. Don't even worry about it, girl! Once you start training for the half marathon, that weight is just going to melt right off into your running shoes. And it's a new year! I think we're all starting the new year off right. :) Go newlyweds!
ReplyDeleteThanks, girls! I really appreciate the encouragement! It definitely helps and I think this week will have better results when I weigh in tomorrow morning. Thanks again!
